This is a numbers matching 1967 Mustang GTA that was purchased in Seattle by a gentleman from Australia. He contacted us to have a ground up restoration performed before it is shipped down under. The car is equipped with a 289-4V motor, C4 Transmission and has Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Tilt Wheel, and Deluxe Interior. We completed the restoration in January 2015. The photos were snapped right before it was shipped so we did not get the best angles. The mud flaps were only used during test drives.
Update 2/4/15 – Car delivered to the transport company in Vancouver, WA for it’s trip to Australia!
Here is the car when it arrived at our shop.
The car was very rust free and only required minimal sheet metal work. After we completely disassembled the car it was plastic media blasted and taken to Quality Kustoms in Spanaway, Washington for body and paint work.
The car is back from the painters and ready for reassembly. Engine bay is correct semi-gloss black and dash has been painted with Acrylic Lacquer – just like the original. Factory overspray pattern has been duplicated on the underbody. Now the fun starts – reassembly.
